In India today is National Pollution Control Day. It is celebrated on 2-3 December every year. It is celebrated to console the people who lose their lives in the Bhopal gas tragedy.

According to the report, due to the leakage of poisonous gas in the gas tragedy, more than five lakh people were killed and a lot of people were also victims of a multi-physical disappointment. So many years today, this day is known as the major industrial pollution disaster.

This day was named a National Pollution Control Day to make every person aware of the importance of people who lost their lives and the importance of pollution control acts.

The Bhopal gas tragedy was in the year 1984, on the night of 2nd and 3rd December, the chemical plant of the Union Carbide located in the city, which is known as the methyl isocyanate (MIC), with the leakage of other chemicals.


The purpose of this day is to make people aware of the laws that help to stop pollution, to disseminate awareness of the management and control of industrial disasters, and stop pollution created by industrial processes and human carelessness. In this case, the vicinity of the day is intact in environmental pollution, in this case, the importance of this day increases many times.

Experts do not have the effect of age from pollution and more than diseases like smoking and TB and if the standards of WHO standards are being strictly incurred, then the age of people may increase the growth.


After 4 days of the accident, on December 7, 1984, the CSA’s head  Waren Anderson was arrested, but after 6 months, he was free of slight refreshment of 2100 $.

After the tragedy, the Indian government stopped production in this factory. Therefore, today there is no clear reason and facts for this accident in front of people.


Pollution is not only for India but for the whole world. Due to increasing diseases, the burden is going on as many assets. The particles of pollution in the air not only take care of the heart, mind, and lungs but also due to unequalized diseases such as cancer.
